Beetlejuice 2 is Coming to Theaters in September 2024

A follow-up to the 1988 comedy classic Beetlejuice is finally coming to theaters in September 2024. The film, titled simply Beetlejuice 2, will star Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Resurrections), Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), and Michael Keaton (The Flash) in the title role.

The original Beetlejuice was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $73 million worldwide against a production budget of just $15 million. The film was directed by Tim Burton and starred Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, and Winona Ryder. It follows the story of a young couple who die in a car accident and must hire a "bio-exorcist" to help them get rid of the ghosts that are haunting their home.

Beetlejuice 2 is being directed by Henry Selick, who previously directed The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and Coraline (2009). The film is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on September 6, 2024.
