Decade-Long Development Concludes with May 6 Launch

After a decade of development and years of delays, Boeing's Starliner spacecraft is finally set to take off. The company will launch its first-ever Starliner astronaut mission for NASA as early as May 6, 2024, on a critical test flight to prove its capabilities.

May 21 Launch Scheduled

Boeing's CST-100 Starliner is currently scheduled to launch to the International Space Station (ISS) at 4:43 pm EDT (20:43 GMT) on Tuesday, May 21, from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

45-Day Launch Preparation Campaign

Starliner's launch campaign will begin 45 days before liftoff, with United Launch Alliance stacking an Atlas V rocket at the launch complex.

Astronauts Prepare for Mission

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are preparing for the first launch on Boeing's Starliner. They will spend six months on the ISS conducting scientific experiments and supporting maintenance tasks.
